Privacy Policy
Vitls Inc. ("Vitls", "we", "us") develops Tégo, a wearable vital-signs patch, and Odin, clinical decision support software. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, vitlsinc.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What this policy covers
- Our website, vitlsinc.com.
- The "Enquire about a pilot" form and other messages you send us.
- Emails and other business communications between you and Vitls.
What this policy does not cover
Patient health information. If you are a patient monitored with Tégo, or a clinician using Odin, information about a patient's health is handled under our agreements with the hospital or healthcare provider, including HIPAA business associate agreements where they apply, and under that provider's own privacy notice. If you take part in a clinical study, your study consent form explains how your information is used.
Please do not send patient health information through our website form or by email.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the pilot enquiry form we collect:
- your name, role, organization and work email address;
- details about the unit you are considering (type of unit, number of beds, how often vital signs are checked today);
- anything you write in the notes field.
We also keep the emails and other messages you send us, and the contact details in them.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested, the referring page, and the date and time.
- Google Analytics. Uses cookies to tell us how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on the site, device and browser type, the site you came from, and your approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address).
- LinkedIn Insight Tag. Uses cookies to measure visits from our LinkedIn ads. If you are signed in to LinkedIn, LinkedIn may link your visit to your LinkedIn account. That lets LinkedIn show you Vitls ads later and give us aggregated reports about visitors, such as job titles, industries and company sizes. LinkedIn does not tell us who you are.
- Google Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google's servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
2. How we use information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss, plan and run a pilot.
- To keep records of our business relationships and communications.
- To send you information about Vitls, Tégo and Odin that relates to your enquiry. Every marketing email lets you unsubscribe.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To measure our LinkedIn advertising and show Vitls ads on LinkedIn.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse. The form has automatic spam checks and a limit on how often one address can submit it.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
We do not use the information collected through this website to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Cookies and how to control them
| Provider | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Counts visits and measures how the site is used | Analytics |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | Measures LinkedIn ads and lets us show Vitls ads on LinkedIn | Advertising |
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of each page. You can also:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
- install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- change your LinkedIn advertising preferences: linkedin.com/psettings/advertising
Blocking cookies does not stop the website or the enquiry form from working.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these cases.
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us and may use the information only for that purpose:
GoDaddy (website hosting and delivery of form emails);
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365 email);
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Fonts);
- LinkedIn (advertising measurement).
- Legal reasons. We share information when required by law, legal process or a government request, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Vitls, our users or others.
- Business transfers. If Vitls is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- With your consent. We share information in any other case only when you ask us to or agree to it.
Under some US state laws, using the LinkedIn Insight Tag to show ads may count as "targeted advertising" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time; see sections 3 and 7.
5. How long we keep information
- Enquiries and correspondence: while we are discussing or running a pilot or other business relationship with you, and then for up to 3 years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Google Analytics data: no more than 14 months.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, for security and troubleshooting.
6. How we protect information
The website uses HTTPS encryption. Only people at Vitls who need enquiry information can see it, and our service providers must protect it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights (United States)
Depending on the state where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- opt out of targeted advertising and any "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information;
- stop receiving marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link or email us).
To make a request, email privacy@vitlsinc.com with your name, the email address you used with us, and what you are asking for. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We will reply within 45 days. If we need more time, which some laws allow, we will tell you why. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@vitlsinc.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will answer your appeal within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.

Your rights. You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. You can also restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, email privacy@vitlsinc.com. We will reply within one month.
International transfers. Vitls is based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. When information from the EU or UK is transferred, we and our providers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Complaints. You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
9. Children
Our website is meant for healthcare professionals and organizations. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
